X-Ray, CT & Ultrasound in Cabo San Lucas — Fast-Tracked Through Our Hospital Partner

Same-day imaging when your doctor needs to see inside — with results explained to you in English.

A bad fall. A possible fracture. A deep cut you cannot quite see into. Persistent abdominal pain. Sometimes your doctor needs to see inside, and waiting until you get home is not an option. Through our partner hospital we fast-track the imaging you need — digital X-ray, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound, read by qualified radiologists. Your English-speaking doctor reviews the results with you, explains exactly what is next, and coordinates any follow-up.

What We Coordinate

Four Imaging Modalities, One Bilingual Coordinator

Digital X-Ray

Fast bone and chest imaging — suspected fractures, possible pneumonia, foreign bodies, swallowing concerns, post-fall evaluation. Same-day in most urgent cases.

CT Scan

Detailed cross-sectional imaging when an X-ray is not enough — head CT after a fall, abdominal CT for severe pain, chest CT for pulmonary embolism workup.

MRI

High-resolution soft-tissue imaging — joint and spine injuries, neurological symptoms, complex orthopedic problems. Available through the partner hospital with on-site radiologists.

Ultrasound

Real-time imaging for abdominal pain, gallbladder, kidneys, DVT workup, obstetric concerns, soft-tissue masses, vascular studies.

How the Fast-Track Works

Honest framing: the imaging machines are at the hospital, not in our clinic. Our value is the coordination — the part that is slow and confusing if you try to navigate it alone in a foreign healthcare system.

1

Bilingual assessment first

You see one of our English-speaking doctors — at our walk-in clinic, your hotel, or by video — to decide what imaging you actually need. Not every fall needs an MRI; we do not over-order.

2

We book the slot

We coordinate directly with the partner hospital's imaging department for a same-day or next-day slot in most cases.

3

Transport, if needed

We arrange ground ambulance or a comfortable transfer to the hospital and back. You are never sent off to figure it out yourself.

4

Read & explain — in English

The hospital radiologist reads the study; our doctor reviews it with you in English and walks you through the next step — treatment, specialist referral, or reassurance.

The Most Common Reasons Travelers Need Imaging in Cabo

Insurance, Pricing & What to Expect

Imaging fees are billed by the hospital, not by our clinic, and vary by the study (X-ray is the most affordable; MRI is the most expensive). We help you get a quote in advance whenever it is not an immediate emergency. For travelers with international travel insurance (Allianz, GeoBlue, IMG, Aetna International, Cigna Global and others), our partner hospital works with a wide network of insurers; we will help you verify your specific coverage before you commit to a non-urgent study. You will receive an itemized English invoice that supports a reimbursement claim if you pay out of pocket. We promise the process — clear quotes, English documentation, help with the paperwork — not a specific reimbursement outcome.

FAQ

Common Questions About Imaging in Cabo

In most urgent cases, yes. After our doctor sees you and confirms an X-ray is indicated, we fast-track a same-day appointment at the partner hospital. Walk-in self-scheduling at a hospital imaging desk in a foreign country is usually slower and confusing — calling us first is faster.
Imaging is performed at a leading private hospital in Los Cabos with on-site radiology — digital X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound — read by qualified radiologists. We arrange the appointment, the transport if needed, and the follow-up. Our doctor reviews the results with you in English.
Imaging fees are set and billed by the hospital. X-ray is the most affordable; MRI is the most expensive; CT and ultrasound fall in between. For non-emergency studies we help you get a quote in advance. Our clinic’s coordination fee (the doctor’s visit that orders and interprets the imaging) is separate and quoted up front in USD.
Most international travel-insurance policies cover medically necessary imaging. You will receive a fully itemized invoice in English for reimbursement. For larger studies (CT, MRI) we can help you verify coverage with our partner hospital before you commit. We coordinate the paperwork; the final reimbursement decision is made by your insurer.
Yes — you’ll be given the imaging on a CD/USB and/or via electronic transfer, plus the radiologist’s report. We’re happy to send these to your physician at home in English on request, with your written permission.
If the study shows something that needs hospital admission, surgery, or a specialist — we coordinate it. The same partner hospital has 24/7 emergency care, an ICU, operating rooms and a deep specialist roster. If you would prefer to fly home for treatment, we coordinate ambulance and air ambulance, including medical repatriation.

We arrange the imaging. You focus on healing.

Call our 24/7 bilingual line — we will see you, decide what imaging is appropriate, and fast-track it.

Important: Imaging studies (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) are delivered by an independent licensed hospital and its radiologists. Our clinic coordinates the referral, transport, and bilingual interpretation of results; we do not perform imaging on-site. For a life-threatening emergency call 911 first.
