Pricing for IV therapy in Cabo is all over the map — from $79 spa drips to $400+ “luxury” concierge bundles. Here’s what a doctor-supervised, COFEPRIS-licensed medical IV actually costs at Cabo Walk-In Clinic, why the price is what it is, and what your travel insurance is likely to reimburse.

Catalog pricing at Cabo Walk-In Clinic

  • B-Complex Energy IV — $119 · B-vitamins, fluids, light electrolytes.
  • Hydration IV — $149 · Saline or LR, B-complex, magnesium, electrolytes.
  • Myers Cocktail — $159 · Saline base + magnesium, calcium, B-complex, B12, vitamin C.

All prices in USD; cash, USD, MXN, and major cards accepted. Doctor supervision is included in the IV price — there is no separate fee for the brief physician intake.

Optional add-ons

  • Zofran IV (anti-nausea, prescription) — small additional charge when added.
  • Toradol IV (pain, prescription) — small additional charge when added.
  • Additional bag of fluid for severe dehydration — modest additional cost.
  • Full doctor consult beyond the IV intake — $79 (video), $119 (in-clinic), $200 (house call at your hotel).
  • Lab tests drawn at the same visit — variable based on panel.
  • Mobile dispatch fee for remote villas/resorts outside our standard zone — quoted on booking.

What the price actually covers

  • Pharmaceutical-grade IV fluids from a licensed Mexican supplier.
  • Mexican-licensed physician supervision (intake review, infusion oversight).
  • Registered-nurse line placement and monitoring.
  • Standard additives at clinic doses.
  • Itemized English invoice with diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Chart documentation (sendable to your home physician on request).

Why some operators charge more or less

Cheaper than our catalog usually means: no physician supervision, no prescription add-ons available, off-brand or near-expiry supplies, no documentation, no escalation plan if something goes wrong, and no insurance-ready invoice. For a healthy adult with no symptoms, this may be acceptable; for anyone actually sick, it’s a real risk.

Significantly more than our catalog usually means: a brand premium (named-resort surcharge, “concierge” markup), an exclusivity fee, or higher-dose specialty ingredients. There can be legitimate reasons; verify what you’re paying for.

Mobile vs in-clinic — same price

Most of our mobile and in-clinic IV pricing matches. Standard zone covers Cabo San Lucas, El Tezal, Médano, Marina, Pedregal, downtown SJD, the Tourist Corridor (Palmilla, Cabo del Sol, Cabo Bello), and most SJD hotel zones. For remote villas or far East Cape, we quote dispatch on booking.

Travel insurance reimbursement

Most U.S. and Canadian travel insurance policies that cover medical emergencies abroad reimburse a medically indicated IV — particularly for documented dehydration, food poisoning, migraine, or post-ER care. Pure wellness drips (Beauty Glow with no clinical indication) typically aren’t reimbursed. We provide an itemized English invoice that includes the diagnosis code; that’s what carriers look for. See our insurance and billing guide for the longer version.

Payment & checkout

We invoice and collect at time of service — no holds, no surprise charges. You can pay in USD, MXN, or by major credit card. We do not require credit card on file before service.

Group, party, and wedding pricing

For groups (bachelor/bachelorette, wedding party, corporate retreat) of 3+ patients at the same location, we offer same-visit dispatching with itemized per-patient invoicing. Pricing scales but stays transparent — no hidden fees. See wedding party group IV and bachelorette IV.

Frequently asked questions

Is the doctor visit included in the IV price?

The brief physician intake is included. A full doctor consult (for a documented diagnosis, prescription beyond IV, or comprehensive exam) is billed separately: $79 video, $119 clinic, $200 house call.

Are mobile IVs more expensive than in-clinic?

Same price for standard service zones. Remote villa dispatch fees are quoted on booking.

What if I need more than one bag?

Additional bags are at modest incremental cost; the physician decides when a second liter is warranted.

Will my travel insurance pay for this?

For medically indicated IV (illness-driven) most policies reimburse. Pure wellness drips typically don’t qualify. We provide the paperwork.
